BUILT FOR THE SAND, OPTIMIZED FOR POWER
Dyno Tuning for Extreme Power
At SU Sand Cars in Chino, California, every build is hand‑crafted for one purpose: to dominate the dunes. To make sure our custom sand cars deliver the power, precision, and reliability you expect, we’ve invested in the Mainline Portable ProHub CCS (CAN Control System) Chassis Dynamometer—the same advanced technology trusted by top motorsport teams worldwide.
Unlike traditional roller dynos, the ProHub system connects directly to the axle hubs, eliminating wheel and tire variables. That means we can measure raw power and torque with absolute accuracy, run after run. For our customers, this translates into repeatable, real‑world performance data that ensures your car is dialed in before it ever hits the sand.

Dyno Tuning for Extreme Power
- Built for Big Power – Available in 2000hp and 3000hp configurations, the ProHub dyno is designed to handle the extreme horsepower levels our sand cars produce.
- Non‑Coaxial Design – The Power Absorption Modules (PAMS) sit flat on the floor, making setup faster and more stable than coaxial systems. No camber adjustments, no vibration issues—just efficient, accurate testing.
- Direct Hub Connection – By bolting directly to billet steel hub adapters, we remove tire slip, wheel flex, and other off‑road variables, giving us the cleanest possible data.
- High‑Speed Capability – Rated up to 5000 axle rpm (equivalent to 400 mph road speed, depending on gearing), the ProHub dyno can simulate the extreme conditions of wide‑open dune runs.

Advanced Control & Data Acquisition
The CAN Control System (CCS) is the brains behind the dyno. It uses a high‑speed CAN network for lightning‑fast data transfer and ultra‑responsive load control. With advanced strategies like Eddy Current Brake Mapping and Feed Forward + PID Control, the system doesn’t just react—it predicts and adapts, ensuring precise control even under rapidly changing loads.
For our tuning team, this means we can:
- Run steady‑state tests for live ECU tuning.
- Simulate real dune loads with road‑load and drag‑mode testing.
- Perform linear and non‑linear ramp pulls to evaluate boost curves and power delivery.
- Balance torque left‑to‑right for wide‑track off‑road buggies.
